Biography

Evelyn Escobar.

Escobar's art are a sample of gouaches and oils, which offers a look at where childhood memories and experiences of herself are obviously colorful.

Besides delving into the memories of what being a child is about Escobar’s proposal is about an imaginary world where dreams sail in the life of each person making them free. Meaning enjoying every instant.

Escobar sees the child as a person free from social ties; where formality stops and instead we can enjoy the moment, without prejudiced thinking that life claims from us and instead thinking of and seeing the meaning of life where spontaneity is a creative act.

She exposes her figures to share them with the spectators so they are able to experiment and enjoy the magic of her paintings. Escobar prefers to think of herself as a child who identifies herself with all her creatures instead of with the adults with their critical looks and with this she gives us the key to come near to her art, we have to do it with a fresh  clean look and without prejudice or comparison.

Escobar started to paint at the tender age of 10-year-old but taking it with more dicipline where she was 12 year old. This may be the reason for her topic about childhood. She is been taught by Efrain Becerra, her uncle Fernando Andriacci and her own father Eduardo Andriacci. Also, she was student at "Universitario Bauhaus" At her young age she has participated in some collective and individual shows in Puebla, Veracruz, Mexico City. And now she lives in Herriman, Utah, where she lives a simple and comfortable life and continues painting and now she is not only amazing people from her beloved country but also amazing and enchanting people in USA.

She continues searching in the collective unconscious where she doesn't just draw moments of childhood but the imagination that belongs to each one of us.

Escobar paintings are purely magical portals between childhood dreams and extracted mythical worlds inhabited by beings of personal imagination of the artist, creating legends and stories of fiction. This is what she calls "Learning to play".
